Innovation Is The Rule, Not The Exception

We were entering new module which deal with creativity and innovation. Today class was a bit interesting. Lectured by Prof Barjoyai Bardai, once studied in Harvard University School of Law. Regarding with the entire lecture that have been given by him, when it comes to something creative, it always remind me with the Japanese people.  They are known for their hardworking, determination, ambitious, courage and motivated. Even the Kamikaze shows on how are these Japanese were very very loyal towards their country, and brave to facing any difficulty. All of these attitudes were make them to become creative and always thinking out of the boxes in their life.

As it being told by Mr Barjoyai, creativeness doesn’t always need an intelligent and smart people. It is just a matter of whether you are brave or not to come with a new idea. The paradox is:

Creative ideas = new ideas = wrong ideas. HENCE, new ideas = wrong ideas = strange ideas

Creativity and innovative come with a combination of focus, anticipation and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) method. NLP is a set of powerful techniques for rapid and effective behavioral modification, and an operational philosophy to guide our use. It’s a method that deals with our subconscious mind. We have this one activity when we need to stab a straw towards a potato so that it will pass through it. I myself was logically thinking that it is possible to make it since the straw was not that strong to get through the potato. Yet, some of us were successfully done with it. Thus, I want to make sure that even I can have through with it.

Without neglecting some of the awesome stuffs that have been invented from other country that Mr Barjoyai has shown to us his collection, even he was undergoing a new invention with his colleague on the production of hydro fuel which has a better combustion, low in corrosiveness and can mix up or combine with water. This is totally opposite with our normal petrol.

Then, Mr Barjoyai was showing to us this video clip on this one Indian guy that inventing a gadget that can be applied in reality just by having a concept of ball in computer mouse scroller. You can see the video here:

Finally, Mr Barjoyai has told us that even new invention is facing certain difficulties to develop since other giant company might against the new invention that is similar to them as it can reflect their business, or even their earnings maybe.

“Creativity always meets resistance and we’re no different than anybody else in that sense”
